PichiAvo
(Pichi, né en 1977 ; Avo, né en 1985) est un duo d’artistes originaires de Valence, en Espagne.
Reconnus pour leur capacité à créer des liens entre la peinture et la sculpture dans l’espace urbain, ils développent une approche résolument novatrice en fusionnant différents langages artistiques. Leur travail se distingue par un équilibre subtil entre l’art classique et l’art urbain contemporain. Dès leurs débuts, PichiAvo ont rejeté l’individualité artistique pour unir leurs forces et bâtir une œuvre singulière, fondée sur une esthétique résolument urbaine, tant dans la rue qu’en atelier.
Formés aux Beaux-Arts et au Design, ils se rencontrent sur la scène graffiti de Valence et fondent le duo PichiAvo en 2007. Dès lors, ils se consacrent au développement de projets communs, poursuivant une quête incessante d’un style propre. Ce cheminement les conduit à travers différentes phases picturales, explorant d’abord la technique et la maîtrise du geste avant de se recentrer sur ce qui définit le mieux leur identité : la fusion du graffiti et de l’art classique.
Depuis 2015, PichiAvo ont réalisé des interventions dans certains des hauts lieux de l’art urbain international, notamment sur le mythique Houston Bowery Wall à New York (2017), où ils furent les premiers artistes européens à y apposer leur signature. En avril 2019, ils ont exécuté, en collaboration avec l’artiste Vhils, le deuxième plus grand mur peint au monde, dans la ville de Porto.
Leur carrière s’est imposée sur la scène artistique internationale, leur valant reconnaissance critique et popularité, et les plaçant parmi les artistes urbains les plus influents du moment.

Their work stands out for a subtle balance between classical art and contemporary urban art. From the outset, PichiAvo rejected artistic individuality, choosing instead to join forces and build a singular body of work rooted in a distinctly urban aesthetic, both in the streets and in the studio.
Trained in Fine Arts and Design, they met on Valencia’s graffiti scene and founded the PichiAvo duo in 2007. From then on, they dedicated themselves to developing joint projects, tirelessly pursuing their own artistic style. This journey led them through various pictorial phases, initially focusing on technique and mastery before refining their identity through the fusion of graffiti and classical art.
Since 2015, PichiAvo have carried out interventions in some of the most renowned international urban art venues, including the iconic Houston Bowery Wall in New York (2017), where they became the first European artists to leave their mark. In April 2019, in collaboration with the artist Vhils, they created the second-largest painted wall in the world in the city of Porto.
Their career has flourished on the international art scene, earning them critical acclaim and widespread popularity, establishing them among the most influential urban artists of today.
